448. Home In Strobelights

I didn’t belong to anyone,

I didn’t belong to anywhere,

There was no place for me,

I never fit in,

So I followed the night,

And crawled under the ground,

And soon became part of a crowd,

And found home in the dark,

The strobelights and loud sounds.

Comfort was always easy to find

in the touch of a stranger’s hand,

intimate moments with another human

no history

no future

just the night,
