NEW POETIC ORDER

This desolation has become my disguise,

Secretly I’m superman inside,

Hidden powers in my alter ego Clark,

Laying here alone in the dark.

I need to put my cape on and fly,

There are no limits, I’ll reach beyond the sky,

But there’s pain in my heart caused by Kryptonite,

Somehow hope for us is out of sight. 

No love in your heart, it’s been amputated,

Lately I’ve been feeling so alienated,

As the lone prisoner in your cold planet,

Going back and fourth, insanely manic,

Like Jimmy Olsen, you’re full of transformations,

Why do you keep dampening my elations,

How can you not realise who I really am?

Surely you’d see it, being superman’s biggest fan.

 I need to put my cape on and fly,
